Role Description

The selected person will join the Advocacy and Communication department and will be responsible for identifying a creative concept and drafting engaging content.

This position involves working independently when creating copy and in a team to deliver the final product. The copywriter will be a creative, proactive, punctual person, with time management abilities.

Key responsibilities:

Creation of new, original copy for (not limited to) social media posts, articles, website content, fundraising material in Italian and English.

Support the Advocacy and Communication department in reviewing and setting up communication guidelines, materials and strategies.

Integrate the organization's communication plan with Social Media

Retrieving, proofreading and translating from English to Italian content from field programs or other departments (education and fundraising among others).

Content optimization (language, tone, message) based on the target audiences

Essential Skills & Requirements

A degree in Foreign Languages, Linguistics, Media studies, or similar

At least 2 years of experience as a copywriter with a successful track record or portfolio of powerful copy from past working experience

Excellent writing skills in Italian and English

Deep understanding of storytelling, written social media communication and content performance

Ability to write a strong lead

Ability to easily adopt organization’s voice

Ability to write in different styles to communicate effectively with different target audiences

Creativity and attention to detail

Communication skills, organization and time management
