DescriptionOur Client is a Statutory Institution whose mandate as a risk minimiser is to provide a deposit insurance scheme for customers of member institutions and to resolve any institution in respect of which the Corporation is appointed receiver or liquidator.
The Corporation enhances incentives for sound risk management and generally promote the stability of the financial system.

Job Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services the incumbent will provide support to the divisional head in providing Strategic leadership of the Communications Function.
S/He will prepare detailed media reports and press releases. The Manager Communication will co-ordinate the presentation of the public face of the Corporation to a variety of interested parties, including government, stakeholders, donors, employees, regulatory bodies, the media, local communities, and pressure groups.
Foster good internal communication to motivate and unite staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Leading in the development and implementation of an engagement plan in order to build and manage relationships and knowledge sharing between the Corporation and different stakeholders.
Identifying and developing mechanisms for the Corporation to actively participate in activities at the international level, for example generate and document information about the Corporation’s role at various international platforms
Identifying and evaluating key issues that are discussed at relevant international forums
Responsible for the drafting of speeches, press releases, messages and advertisements for the print and broadcast media, and oversee the organization of media briefings for the Corporation.
Analyzing the impact of these issues to Kenya and developing our positions for each issue; liaising closely with relevant experts at the International forum.
Identifying actions to be taken to demonstrate Kenya’s active participation in international fora i.e. meetings and conferences, including presenting papers where necessary
Highlight the Corporation’s role at the global level with an aim of projecting the Corporation in positive light.
Overseeing the development and implementation of the Corporation’s Brand Manual and related initiatives.
Overseeing the development and implementation of the Corporation’s Communication strategy.
Overseeing regular updates of the Corporation’s website.
Overseeing the promotion of a positive corporate image of the Corporation to the public through promotions and campaigns.
In consultation with the CEO, managing and handling of all negative publicity about the Corporation
Overseeing management of customer complaints and compliments in the corporation
Writing, editing and proof reading communication material to ensure consistency and compliance with the Corporation’s branding, values, key messages and style guidelines
Planning and execution of Corporation’s events at both local and international levels
Building synergy and
enhancing collaboration between the Corporation and its stakeholders.
Responsible for Coordinating, and organize all the Corporation’s event
Responsible for the Corporation media contacts database and social platform
Linking business units to relevant key players at the regional and international level
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
At least Six (6) years of relevant work experience; 3 years’ experience in management
Master’s Degree in Communication or related course from a recognized institution;
Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media and Communication or related course from a recognized institution;
Relevant postgraduate diploma in areas of journalism, mass communication, public relations or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
Must be a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations(CIPR) or Public Relations Society of Kenya(PRSK);
Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and photography skills will be an added advantage
Certificate in Management Course lasting not less four (4) weeks
Proficiency in computer applications
Demonstrated professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.

Compliance With Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya

Professional Qualifications
