Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of speech of the Chinese language and reading of Mandarin is an added advantage .

  • The minimum level of experience required is 0-1 year of experience in working as a Chinese translator.

  • He/ She should be able to read through or listens to material in one language ie English, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and converts it into a second language i.e. Chinese, making sure to preserve the original meaning.

  • Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately

  • Translates a variety of documents including literary, legal, research, technical and commercial materials

  • Having lived in any Chinese state province is an added advantage.

  • Salary scale is based on skill and experience.

    Qualifications

  • May specialize in a particular industry in which he or she has relevant experience or knowledge, such as business.
