Standard Gauge Railway Train Tail Repairer/Operator Vacancies in Kenya
Job DescriptionsBe responsible for assembling, using, testing and allocating the train tail devices and escalate issues in case of discover.
Strictly implement system for recording, handover and replacing train tail devices and carry out assembling and disassembling train tail and battery charge according to operation procedures.
Strictly implement relevant operation regulations and application instructions.
Strictly implement handover system, clarify the quantity for train tail devices and batteries, and ensure the train tail devices matching batteries in quantity, train tail testing up to standard and battery in good conditions as well as no failure for train tail devices.
Be responsible for quality inspection for renewed train tail hosts and their accessories one by one, and record in Train Tail Information Management System.
Be responsible for daily faults repairing and annual inspection for train tail equipment, test and calibrate the performance indexes for main parts of host and replace problem parts.
Receiving information for operation failure of train tail devices, responsible for investigation and analysis for failure causes.
Organize relevant operators to implement operation training works. Be responsible for inspecting and guiding standardized operation for train tail devices.
Assist Assistant Station Attendant, Train Number Worker to carry out train reception and departure, stopping wheel of train stopping, check train existing in station and handing over cargo documents.
Participate skills and service learning according to provisions in spare time, improve skill and service level, and actively attend meetings organized by train station.
Complete other works arranged by station.

Job Descriptions
Comply with laws and regulations of Kenya and practice all rules, institutions, management measures and standards of Railway Operation Company of Kenya Firmly establish the consciousness that safety obligations are at top priority, and be vigilant to potential risks. Follow the instructions by workshop and section, and passionate in working.
Guided by foreman, team leader and operation responsible, carry out inspections, maintenance and repairing operations for track and bridge facilities to ensure the train operation safety and continuously improve the service qualities of facilities.
Attend the meeting for roll call in specified dressing, understand the operation plan for the date, individual tasks, safety instructions and requirements for technique and operation standards and implement accordingly.
Listen to the notice from safety protection person and the verbal instructions from operation responsible to move the tools and machines out of the railway clearance, and retreat
from track to safety area for the train passing.
Build the team to be a harmonious working team through teamwork, helping others and looking after each other.
Complete other works arranged by workshop and section.

Job Descriptions
Carefully study and implement instruction spirit in relevant documents from superior management, follow instructions, and complete all tasks arranged by a leader.
Be responsible for goods loading/unloading, checking and handover according to tasks.
Carefully maintain the lifting equipment.
Establish the thought of serving for site, practice civilized loading / unloading, and fight against violating operation to ensure complete cargo delivery to destination.
Strictly implement provisions for reinforcement cargo loading, ensure the loading steadiness without unbalance loading, over loading and over limit.
Strengthen the loading / unloading management for combustible, explosive and perishable goods, and implement precautionary measures.
Establish the thought of safety first. Pay attention to locations of other operators in the operation area and take care of personal safety of others.
Implement quick loading / unloading operations in cognitive tasks for repairing, follow the instructions from foreman and site directors with no excuse.
Strictly follow the operation procedures for lifting equipment, check the conditions of lifting steel wire rope, lifting hook and lifting arms before lifting operation, pay attention to the ground equipment and personnel in lifting for loading / unloading materials. Nobody can stand under the lifting arm.
