Standard Bank Technical Specialist, DB2DBA Jobs in South Africa

Job Purpose

To support the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the technical domain by implementing solutions and advice to business across multiple problem sets, working with vendors to improve IT technical domain solutions.

Key Responsibilites

Provide operational maintenance and production support in Technical domain functionality

Perform deploy and operate work that pertains to Mainframe DB2 database administrators

The installation, maintenance and performance management of the Mainframe DB2 and related vendor products

Support other infrastructure teams i.e. (z/OS ; Capacity Management; Storage; CICS and different application teams running on Mainframe DB2).

Perform deployment work for projects on demand and in accordance with project schedules. With respect to Mainframe DB2 Applications

Configuration of all hardware across the IT Domain environment, Review mainframe hardware setup and make recommendations to optimise the environmen.

Maintain backups of the operational application to enable restore in cause of disaster recovery in accordance with the backup and restore regime.

Support Operational Controls processes (Audits, Risk and DR& BCM governance, business processes improvements, performance management, and finance and business management), supply requested information and implement corrective actions as applicable.

Qualifications

3 Year Diploma in IT or Higher.

7-10 years Experience in DB2 V11 / V12 certification.

7-10 years Good mainframe DB2 skills and experience.

7-10 years Good understanding of Mainframe DB2; CICS and COBOL.
