Job Purpose

  • To design, entrench, commercialise, scale and enable the High Net Worth (HNW) Clients segment proposition for the relevant markets within the Consumer and High Net Worth (CHNW) segment. To promote and grow client experience through multi-products and services. To collaborate with country to guide and monitor adoption of the segment proposition.

    Key Responsibilites

    People

  • Provide input into talent strategy developed by People and Culture.

  • Identify current and potential employee skill requirements in consultation with the People and Culture function.

  • Inspire the team to deliver on the Groups shared purpose and instilling a culture which enables the Group to evolve into a client led platform organisation.

    Data

  • Deliver segment client experiences, segment client growth and segment financials.

  • Integrate with Affluent solutions to maximise High Net Worth and Affluent propositions across multiple countries.

    Strategy

  • Set, monitor, deliver and manage the segments value proposition in alignment with Group requirements.

  • Develop and implement the High Net Worth segment toolbox in collaboration with other capability heads.

    Licence to Operate

  • Adhere to all licence requirements for the Consumer & High Net Worth Clients segment.

    Client

  • Guide countries to establish and implement the High Net Worth value proposition.

  • Design a client led and front to back business that delivers and entrenches a consistent client experience across all engagement platforms.

  • Set, define and deliver parameters for client metrics to drive growth and achieve scalability aligned to the strategic value drivers.

    Client

  • Define the behaviours that result in quality client engagements and client growth i.e. personalised conversations.

  • Stay abreast of market and competitive developments in order to define and evolve innovative and value-added services to gain market share.

  • Monitor implementation and provides advice on execution of High Net Worth Clients value proposition across all countries.

    Product

  • Create multi-product client experiences to address client life events, distributed through client engagement platforms.

  • Deliver SBG and 3rd party products and services to the High Net Worth segment through a client centric platform.

    Financial Management

  • Define and monitor implementation of the financial outcomes required for High Net Worth segment in line
    with Consumer High Net Worth Clients requirements and in close collaboration with other segment heads and Client Solutions.

  • Ensure that countries define and implement remedial actions in collaboration with relevant the Regional Heads, Country Heads.

  • Retain oversight of financial and non-financial metrics (e.g. client attrition, profit growth and return on investment, etc.) across countries.

    Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance

  • Verify that the design and development of the High Net Worth Clients segments objectives are achieved within prudent market risk and conduct parameters.

  • Accountable for overall risk management and adherence to all governance standards for the continued sustainability of the High Net Worth Clients segment.

  • Develop appropriate recovery and resolution plans to protect the High Net Worth Clients segment from any untoward event.

    Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance

  • Define the parameters for key trade-off decisions at client level (i.e. risk appetite, pricing etc.)

  • Develop client risk appetite based on the defined framework which is signed off in conjunction with Risk.

  • Implement and monitor risk management across High Net Worth Clients segment (e.g., operational risk, credit risk, ecosystems risk and partner risk management).

    Qualifications

  • Commerce/ Business Degree

  • Significant experience in High Net Worth (Wealth) segment in financial services.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in developing, designing and enabling value propositions for High Net Worth clients in multiple markets, across South Africa and Africa Regions.

  • Experience in digital, open banking and platform integration into Consumer and High Net Worth segments.

  • Experience in investment and insurance products and income statement management.
