Job Details Operations: a range of essential and complex services to ensure processes across the bank work as effectively and efficiently as possible
Job Purpose
Support the strategic operational plans in response to the industry, client driven and internal changes and working with the operations team in terms of requirement sourcing.
All business requirements needs to be documented, solutioned and signed off. The role will entail drafting requirement documentation with the person being the interface on allocated projects between Operations and the technical team
Become a business expert with deep content knowledge, deep understanding of industry developments to execute on the strategy through a number of projects aimed at achieving the IS Operation strategy.
Day to day support of Operations to enable them to focus on the day to day operational aspects including operational efficiencies whilst delivering agreed strategic solutions and representing Operations on New Product Committees (when applicable).
Accountable for delivering against the agreed Strategic Investor Services Operations book of work as well as translation of Standard Bank Group strategies and regulations into Operational Response which will enable the Investor Services
business to meet, and in many cases, exceed financial and non-financial expectations. This includes managing stakeholders in terms of expectations and priority management against the Operations book of work.
Recommend and assist Investor Services Operations in implementing operational processes for new products and enhancements to the existing product set
Support Investor Services business aspirations in product development.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree an advantage
Industry recognised qualifications
Experience
Experience managing through influence in a large organization
5-10 years of operations management experience in an investor services environment
Ideally gained experience working in multiple Operations environments i.e. risk, audit and compliance
Ability to analyse and document business requirements is recommendable
Understands TCS and Bancs platform. Hiport will be recommendable
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Technical
High familiarity with Investor Services product set
Is aware of the functional aspects of the Bank, different banking products how they are supported.
Has an understanding of the technology systems used in Investor Services and the touchpoints into the rest of the organisation
Firm understanding of risk / compliance framework
