Job Description

To provide effective, pro-active credit risk management for the Business and/or Entrepreneur and/or Lifestyle Lending portfolios across products. To assist Personal and Business Banking (PBB) in achieving their asset growth targets, while maintaining a quality secured and unsecured lending book within the ambit of the PBB Credit policy and guidelines.

The jobholder may be required to operate in one or more of the segments.

Ensures that agreements are prepared correctly in line with sanctions by credit evaluation managers/officers, conditions of sanction are fulfilled, limits loaded, high risk reviews and high risk account management is performed and collateral is regularised in order to maintain a high quality lending book where credit losses are managed optimally

Qualifications

National Certificate Finance and Accounting

Diploma or Bcom degree Finance and Accounting

Experience required

1-2 years work experience with good understanding of Credit Risk and Compliance functions

1-2 years of sound understanding of secured and unsecured products within PBB SA Business Lending.

Analyzing Solutions

Apply solutions from various options relevant to the complexity, scope and magnitude of problems impacting on customer performance and credit risk.

Collection/ Rehabilitation

Knowledge and understanding of the process required to return clients to the Performing book.

The ability to encourage relationship managers to explain the importance of keeping payments up to date

and how clients can pay their overdue loan amounts.

An understanding of potential solutions we can offer to support financially distressed clients and the tools, such as reduction orders, moratoriums, debt consolidations, we have to mitigate risk of default to the Bank

Lending

Knowledge and understanding of the risks and processes associated with lending whether unsecured or secured

Customer and Client Focused Innovation

Understanding of clients and their needs in order to support relationship managers and channel in delivering to clients.

Understanding and explaining risks to clients and channel in order to minimise risk and the reduction of credit losses to the Bank.

Purposeful Collaboration

Understands and leverages the dependencies across credit and aligns work to other credit and business teams.
