Job Description
To design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and secure data pipelines and data stores according to agreed architecture, solution designs, standards, policies and governance requirements. To monitor and report on own progress and proactively identify issues related to data engineering activities. To collaborate in reviews of work with others where appropriate


Qualifications:

BSc. In Information Technology or first degree in Information Technology

MS SQL, Data Lake technologies & databases, Cloud data engineering tooling, services & storage layers (Synapse, S3, Spark and ADLS etc.

Structured, semi-structured & unstructured Data usage, Certification in Data Engineering, DEVOPS, Security and Analytics services

Experience:

5-7 Years Data Analytics:

Understanding of data pipelining and performance optimisation, data principles, how data fits in an organisation, including customers, products and transactional information. Knowledge of integration patterns, styles, protocols and systems theory.

5-7 Years Software Engineering:

Experience in database programming languages including SQL, PL/SQL, SPARK and or appropriate data tooling.

Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools

Big Data Frameworks and Tools
Ability to manipulate and structure amounts of datasets that are so enormous, customary data preparing software can't oversee them.

The ability to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data for the duration that the data is stored as well as preventing unintentional alterations or loss of data.
