St. Francis Community Hospital Nurse Jobs in Kenya

The St. Francis Community Hospital (STFCH) wishes to recruit a highly motivated, competent, honest and remarkably talented Nurse.

Ref: STFCH/HR/006/2023/086

The Nurse will work with other staff to maintain high standards and actively promote quality health care delivery and smooth running of the institution and to provide care to patients in the institution who require acute medical intervention that can be provided by a Nurse.

Key Responsibilities

Assessing, planning implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient’s outcomes;

Providing appropriate healthcare service including Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, ante-natal care and delivery,

Providing health education and counselling to patients/clients

Referring patients and clients appropriately;

Facilitating patients’ admission and initiating discharge plans;

Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment;

Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.

Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Diploma in Nursing from a reputable institution.

BLS and ACLS is an added advantage.

Must be registered with the nursing council and possess a current license.

Minimum working experience of TWO (2) years in a busy health institution.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff.

Basic computer skills.

Professional, friendly attitude.
