IntroductionSt Andrew’s, Turi is one of the most prominent international
schools in Kenya and has an outstanding reputation throughout Africa.
Founded as a Preparatory School for the children of expatriates in 1931, it
has grown to comprise both Preparatory and Senior Schools and to welcome
children of over 25 nationalities, the majority of whom are now African.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to teach Biology throughout the
school from Years 9 to 13. Experience of teaching IGCSE and A level
Chemistry would be useful.
Qualifications
Working at St Andrew’s, Turi, is an exciting and dynamic experience. We look to
recruit committed and resourceful staff, who are looking to not only develop their
skills and leadership capacities, but also embrace new experiences and challenges.
There are some things that are essential to working with us. The successful candidate
will need to be able to support the School's aims and Christian ethos.
They will have to have a degree as well as a recognised teaching qualification, such as a
PGCE, and of course, the relevant experience.
Beyond that we want to have staff who love working as part of a team; who are
first-class communicators and who are passionate about the subjects and pupils
they teach; who are creative and diligent in their planning; who are adaptable,
energetic and resilient.
Experience of working in a Senior School, or in boarding, would be desirable, but
not essential.

Responsibilities
St Andrew’s Senior School is seeking to appoint an experienced Teacher of
Maths and Physics.
The successful candidate will be required to teach Mathematics & Physics throughout the school from Years 9 to 13.
Experience of following the Edexcel IGCSE and A level courses would be
useful.

St Andrews Preparatory School Teacher of Director of Admissions & Marketing Jobs Opportunities in Kenya
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing a coherent national and international marketing
and pupil recruitment strategy for the whole School, aligned with the School’s key mission, vision and values, so that pupil recruitment and retention is optimised at all times
Developing and leading the admissions team with the aim of sustaining a
full School and creating waiting lists
Directing and overseeing marketing across the whole School with a view to
strengthening both the School’s overall brand and the Senior and Preparatory
Schools’ individual reputations
Advising the SEC and the Board of Governors about trends in the International
School sector and contributing to the formulation of the School’s strategic plans
Encouraging and facilitating alumni relations and philanthropic support,
working with the Director of Development
Managing the St Andrew’s brand, acting as ‘Brand Guardian’, ensuring that
the School communicates, engages and presents key messages in a consistent, professional and prompt fashion to all stakeholders in Kenya and
overseas
Qualifications
A record of good academic achievement and educated to degree level or equivalent
Significant experience of managing a marketing or customer care function in a relevant environment
A track record of successful leadership with the ability to influence, motivate and
persuade at all levels
Experience of developing strategic and tactical plans at a senior level, combined
with a record of successfully implementing them
The ability to write and verbally communicate messages that are clear and concise.
