Reporting to Head of Human Resource, the Medical Officer will be Incharge of the
Sony Sugar Medical Centre and responsible for:-

  • Formulation, co-ordination and implementation of policies and programs aimed at ensuring
    provision of quality Health services to staff, their dependents and the community.
  • Ensuring provision of preventive and curative medical care and advocate for excellent patient
    care and outcomes.
  • Contacts and liaises with various stakeholders to support and assist in improving community
    based health programs.
  • Ensuring efficient coordination and management of medical services within respective
    sections in the facility.
  • Advising the Company on all medical/legal issues.
  • Offering treatment and counselling services to clients.
  • Conducting health inspection and advising Management and the Community on the
    maintenance and improvement of appropriate Public Health standards.
  • Ensuring compliance to Public Health and relevant laws by the facility and all medical
    personnel.
  • Ensuring consistency in the clinical protocols.

    Person Specifications
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Five (5) years’ hands on experience in a busy hospital.
  • Must be registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board of Kenya.
  • Member of Kenya Medical Association.
  • Valid practicing certificate and annual license.
  • Sound diagnostic skills and judgment.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Advance trauma life support experience is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate professional competence and ability in discharging duties as Medical Officer.
  • Computer Proficiency.

  • CID A Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigations Department
  • HELB A Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Boards
  • KRA A Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority
  • CRB A Clearance Certificate by the Credit Reference Bureau
  • EACC Clearance by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
