Job Summary and Responsibility

Allocate work to artisans/technicians on a day to day basis to ensure optimum operations are achieved within the institution;

Coordinate and maintain University equipment and plants to ensure safe use of the tools by junior staff within the department;

Prepare daily reports for the technicians to ensure all the daily duties are attended to on a timely manner.

Requirements for Appointment

Must have an Ordinary Diploma in Construction Management/GTT I Certificate in plumbing or equivalent.

At least KCSE level of Education with a minimum of Grade D+ and above or KCE Division III.

Three (3) years supervisory experience at Grade 3/4;

South Eastern University Artisan (Plumber) 3/4 (1 Position) Employment Opportunities

Job Summary and Responsibility

Install and fix sanitary appliances in University buildings to ensure the usability of the same and proper water connection needed for their operation based on need;

Participate in preparing water pipes installation sketches for new buildings so as to guide in the installation process as well as ensure proper coverage of the building;

Maintain water pumps through trouble shooting electrical problems in the pumps; monitoring the hygiene of the tanks and liaising with the cleaners to ensure it’s clean and up to the University standards.

Requirements for Appointment

At least KCSE level of education with a minimum of Grade D+ and above(/KCE Division III;

Must have Ordinary Diploma in Construction Management/GTT I Certificate or equivalent;

Three (3) years supervisory experience at Grade I/2.

South Eastern University Custodian/ Janitor Grade 3/4 (1 Position) Employment Opportunities

Job summary and Responsibility

Perform regular checks on security around hostels and within the hostels to ensure safety is guaranteed to the students;

Ensure cleanliness in the hostels by supervising casuals for purposes of having the hostels clean and safe for students’ accommodation;

Inspect the hostel rooms, entire building and equipment on a daily basis to ensure operating standards in the hostels are as per the requirements;

Report matters of repair and maintenance to relevant authority after inspection of the rooms to ensure the hostels are in good working conditions;

Ensure room allocation to students is undertaken to provide accommodation to the students every semester in line with the University policies.

Requirements for Appointment

Certificate in House keeping.
OR

KCSE level of Education with at least Grade D+ or equivalent with three (3) years experience in Halls of

Residence or related institutional setup.
