Job DescriptionWe are looking for self-driven and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team of achievers to ensure we are up to date with therequiredfinancial information as a leading organization in the QSR industry.
You will be a leader in a fast-paced environment that ensures that our accounts and financial records meet standard and all criteria.
Responsibilities
Monitors all transactions (inflow and outflow) for the company, validates and scrutinize
Maintains book of receipts for all cash outflows
Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit, and loss statement, and other reports.
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Secures financial information by completing database backups.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Requirements
BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
Relevant certification or
a Master's Degree is a plus
Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Awareness of business trends
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
Compensation
HMO plan
N180,000 - N200,000 monthly
Performance based bonuses
