Solid Rock Life & Business (SRLB) is looking for experienced Pipefitter Instructors who will be responsible for the preparing and conducting training programs. Please note that this is a 6 months Consultancy..
Responsibilities
Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.
Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities in collaboration with basic skills instructor.
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
Teaches the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog and relates the instruction to careers and employer expectations
Demonstrate, promote and require safety at all times.
Create modules, and workshops questions
Demonstrate, promote and require safety at all times.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assign
Position the weld set up, fit the piping and perform welds
Managing training resources
Ensure training materials, tools and equipment are safely stored after use by students
Responsible for basic repairs of machines, tools and equipment while executing duties
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have five years of related working experience in industrial pipe fitting experience
Degree/Diploma or Certifications (in a technical field)
Relevant technical accreditations
Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance experience
Must understand how to read and interpret ISO's, blueprints, construction drawings technical manuals and instructions to
determine work procedures
Must have ability to weld to a qualified procedure using SMAW (STICK) and GTAW (TIG)
Ability to operate scissor lifts, fork trucks, boom lifts, lulls and other industrial equipment safely
Must be able to work at heights in a safety harness
Controlling machines and processes by using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
Must be able to determine the appropriate tool or equipment needed for each specific task
Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials
Training/s in e.g. Job Safety Analysis, Work Place Fundamental Risks & Assessments, Manual Handling,
