Position Summary

The Product Development Analyst will be responsible for conducting market research and analyzing data to inform the development of new products and the improvement of existing ones.

They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, Manufacturing, quality control marketing, sales and merchandising to identify customer needs and trends, and use this information to make recommendations for product development.

Your Day to Day

Conduct market research to gather information on customer needs, preferences, and buying habits

Analyze data from a variety of sources, such as sales figures, customer feedback, and industry trends, to identify opportunities for new products or improvements to existing ones

Work with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, quality control and marketing, sales and merchandising to develop product concepts and roadmaps

Create detailed product requirements and specifications documents

Collaborate with quality control ,design teams and finance to ensure that products are developed according to specifications, budget and on schedule

Test and evaluate new products to ensure they meet quality and aesthetic standards

Continuously monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for product innovation

Required Skills / Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree

in a relevant field, such as marketing, business, or design

2-3 years of experience in product development, market research, or a related field

Strong analytical skills and experience working with data

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to think creatively

Experience with product development tools and methodologies a plus

Knowledge of a specific industry or product category a plus

The Product Development Analyst will be a key member of the product development team, responsible for driving product innovation and ensuring that the company’s products meet the needs of its customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and experience working with cross-functional teams, and be able to think creatively and strategically to identify opportunities for product development.
