Position Summary

The Plating / Laboratory Chemist responsibilities include planning, implementing, maintaining and managing procedures to optimize the Electroplating process.

He / She will also be responsible for Lab management, bath maintenance, offering technical advice on chemical and Lab / EP equipment and chemical sourcing.

He/She will be reporting to the Head Supply Chain Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plating materials Forecast, plan, impleement and control plating schedule for job and review and adjust where necessary.

Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modifcation and organizing the repair and routine maintenance of plating equipment.

Work with other departmental heads to implement the company’s policies and goals.

Monitor quality standards of the products

Implement standard operating procedures for plating operations and chemical analysis of plating solutions and ensure they are adhered to.

1. Chemical analysis through volumetric analysis

2. Density, PH and conductivit y tests

3. Hull cell test

4. Calibration of laboratory equipment

Timely prepare and maintain plating reports

Preparation and maintenance of laboratory documentation.

Day to day plating cost tracking

BSc degree in Chemistry/Science/Engineering

Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrolysis process

Analytics and Communication skills
