SNV NGO Senior Officer (Clean Cooking Solutions for Households) Jobs in Kenya

Responsibilities

The Senior Officer, clean cooking solutions for households will report to and support the Project Manager to implement clean cooking solutions for households sub component by:

Providing support and advice on the deployment of Clean Cooking Solutions - appliances and fuels for Households and institutions;

Providing support and advice on the selection of the most efficient and effective Clean Cooking Solutions;

Providing support and advice to target communities for deployment of Clean cooking Solutions;

Providing support and advice to selected producers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers of Clean cooking Stoves;

Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on performance and adoption of Clean cooking solutions;

Supporting in preparation and submission of project progress, monitoring and evaluation reports;

Documenting the lessons learnt in the implementation of the project and making recommendations for future interventions;

Proposing solutions to emerging challenges in the project implementation;

Supporting the development, production, distribution and utilization of Clean cooking solutions;

Supporting the Coordination and administration

of outreach and knowledge management on Clean Cooking Solutions;

Any other duties as may be assigned by the Project Coordinator

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, International Development or related field

Experience:

A minimum of three years’ experience in origination, due diligence, structuring and monitoring of financing into the clean cooking sector

Understanding of success factors of for-profit businesses

Design and management of monitoring and evaluation processes

Additional Information

Duration of contract:

Two (2) years, with possibility of contract extension subject to satisfactory performance.
