A UK-based Private Equity firm is seeking a Senior Financial Manager to run the group finance function while overseeing a small finance team in their Cape Town office.

The candidate will manage the day-to-day accounting function as well as be involved in some of the basic operational activities of running a fast-growing company.

Roles and Responsibilities

Prior experience in managing large-scale transactions in industries such as funding, recruitment, and high-volume sales is crucial.

Familiarity with UK businesses and financial structures, as well as experience working with them, is necessary.

Bonus points for those with experience in the UK recruitment industry.

The ability to oversee systems, process improvement and automation projects is desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced knowledge, is a must.

The ability to present financial reports to management and participate in senior management meetings is crucial.

A collaborative, high-performance attitude and a

love for working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment are highly valued.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with making fast decisions and embracing a guerrilla approach to business growth.

Being a supportive team member and leader is a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

Eligible Professional Accountant (SA) / AGA (SA) / CIMA

3+ years of post-article experience with experience in a commercial role

At least 1 year's experience in a managerial role

English first language is preferred

Previous experience in international markets will be highly regarded
