Job Description

Job Purpose
Analyze, forecast and coordinate raw material planning and procurement for STL and DSL to ensure availability of raw materials in line with the production and sales plan and optimize the cost of inbound logistics.
Coordinate and manage a raw materials sales and delivery service for Silafrica Ethiopia to achieve trading and profitability targets.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and manage the raw material and procurement plan to ensure no stock outs, low inventory levels, accountability of material movements, on time payment to suppliers and optimized in bound logistic costs.
Manage and oversee the importation process (raw materials, capex, spares and consumables as well as trading items) in order to ensure statutory compliance and fast clearance at no extra cost.
Plan, execute and advise on an effective exportation process to ensure services are provided in line with marketing and sales business requirements.
Monitor and control stock movements and take timely and appropriate action to ensure implementation of the FIFO procedure, proper reporting of stock forecasts, no pilferages and clearance of non-moving stock.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, bankers, clearing agents, transporters and logistics
service providers, TRA and other stake holders involved in the imports and exports value chain.
Manage and oversee a raw material sales and delivery process to achieve trading objectives such as clearance of extra stock, replacement of inventory at lower prices and maximization of profit levels.
Train, motivate and manage staff to ensure they are well trained and meet their performance objectives.
Identify, recommend and implement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in inbound supply chain processes in line with business objectives

Job Requirements
Qualification
BA Degree in Business Administration, Business management and equivalent
Work Experience
5+ Years relevant experience, including at least 3 years in materials management and inventory control preferably in a plastics manufacturing environment, logistics, and exports/imports
Knowledge and Skills
Materials management, inventory control, warehousing, imports and exports, negotiation skills, strong communication skills, problem solving, results oriented, relationship building, systematic, flexible, service oriented.
Strong communication (English spoken and written) skills, including the ability to advise and train users in the use of Information Systems/applications and related matters and effectively prepare specifications, written reports and other documentation in a clear, concise manner
