Terms of Service:3 Year contract or Permanent and Pensionable depending on age of candidate
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and supervision of construction works for water supplies or sanitation infrastructures
Responsible for collecting and collating operation and maintenance data for the water supply utilities
Responsible for supervising of water supply operators and artisans
Responsible for carrying out survey and design of water supply and sanitation projects
Responsible for carrying out rehabilitation and augmentation requirements for existing water and sanitation schemes
Responsible for analyzing data and preparation of technical reports
Responsible for carrying out feasibility studies and reconnaissance reports for proposed water and sanitation infrastructural projects
Responsible for drafting of Bills of quantities for water projects in the county
Responsible for understudying the works and project supervision under direct guidance of sub county water officers and heads of various divisions within the water directorate.
Assist in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation projects
Assisting in coordination of research in water resources development and management in the sector
Any other duties that may be assigned to you by the Chief Officer Water, Environment and Natural Resources or Director of Water or any other office of seniority.
Requirements
Degree civil engineering or water engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution
Persons with Higher national diploma in water engineering or water inspectors or their
equivalents will be considered
At least 3years’ experience in a management position
Proficiency in computer applications and relevant computer aided soft wares
Team player with high organization ability and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Proactive and self-motivated individual with good communication skills
A person with high level of integrity and positive attitudes

Clearance from the Ethics and anti- corruption commission
Clearance from the CRB.
Certificate of Good Conduct from the police
