Duties and Responsibilities

This entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a more experienced Agricultural officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail: General maintenance of laboratory facility and equipment;

Carrying out inventory of laboratory equipment and chemicals; Receiving and recording samples into the data base; Profiling of client details; Laboratory book keeping and Stock Control; Preparation of reagents; Collecting and analyzing agricultural samples; Installation of lab instruments

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized training institution

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage

Certificate in agriculture with basic knowledge in soil /and or agronomy will be an added advantage
