Main Purpose of the Job

The Electrical and Mechanical (Power) Manager is responsible for the running of the equipment needed to generate electricity in all the facilities of the company

Responsibilities and Tasks

Understands electric system components and activities

Identifies maintenance priorities and handles maintenance departments’ repairs

Implements and follows up a maintenance schedule for all the generators and equipment
Checks electric power system reliability to maximize performance level.

Follows rules, procedures and safety regulations, uses and addresses colleagues about Personal Protective Equipment.

Reports particularities in activities to superiors

Carries out job related activities that are assigned by superiors

Investigates and penalises electricians who do not comply with standards and rules

Installs and maintains electrical equipment at optimized cost.

Suggests review programs to ensure that electricians’ knowledge and skills are up to the task

Working conditions

Has the potential to work after hours and during weekends or public holidays when required

Competences

Demonstrates good leadership and management skills

Excellent team work and is capable to provide trainings and mentoring for the team

Ability to write and produce reports at high level with thorough knowledge of power utility

Demonstrated ability to make good judgement on technical issues that may arise and which requires immediate good decision

Job Requirements

Education, knowledge and skills

Electrical or mechanical education is mandatory with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in a power or mechanicals utility sector
