Job Description

The Position

Shayashone is engaged in agribusiness advisory service and social marketing. The comany has recently added household water treatment solutions to its portofolio and would like to reach new market segments in Amhara Regional State.

Our state of the art household water filters can be used to purify all sources of water, making it safe to drink without the need for boiling or using chemicals. The filters are certified by several international organizations, and are now the market leader in Indonesia.

Shayashone PLC is looking for a Sales and Marketing officer who will be doing market demonstration and Recruiting, Training and Coaching of vendors.

The position is part of the Safe Drinking Water for Ethiopia project, an initiative that aims at selling 50,000 water filters in the Amhara region.

Sales and Marketing Officers Report to the Sales and Marketing team leader. Within this position the company is looking for 2 strong candidates to join the team.

The Responsibilities

Marketing and Sales

Organize safe drinking water events at different community gatherings.

Promote the filters at market and village events.

Work closely with Health extension and cooperatives at different level to raise awareness about water born diseases, solution offered by the filters and stimulate demand.

Identify new market segments and suggest strategies to reach those markets.

Consistently scan competing products and suggest options to

best position our filter.

Network with local WASH partners and raise awareness about the product

Manage and build the relationship with the existing and new clients in Amhara region

Achieve sales target to be allocated by the company.

Supply Chain and Customer Service

Select new vendors at different location at least two per wereda of operation.

Monitor, Train and coach vendors to sell more.

Monitor each sale to households by tracking contact details of buyers.

Ensure sustainable availability of the filters at vendors.

Track feedback from vendors and report to the company.

Job Requirements

Requirements

Diploma or TVET graduate in sales and marketing or related fields.

Able to frequently travel within the region.

Vehicle and/or Motorbike driving license

2 years of experience in sales and marketing related to grass root community.

Experience

Previous experience in household or impact product sales.

Knowledge of rural market, door to door marketing and direct sales

Sound understanding of rural supply chain and experience in building vendor ship network.
