Job Description

Short Description of the Position

Shayashone is engaged in agribusiness advisory service and social impact product marketing. SYS Consulting wing is one of the fast emerging corporate and development consultancies in Ethiopia.

It provides range of consulting services in the area of agricultural commercialization, human resource and investment advice.

We are currently developing training curriculum for a number of short term trainings mainly in agribusiness and organization capacity building.

Shayashone PLC is looking for a Junior consultant who will be part of the consulting team with principal role of researching, data analyses and report writing.

The junior consultant reports to the Consultancy Manager based in Addis. She/he will be traveling to sites depending on the assignment.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Research and Data Analyses

Research on relevant topics, compile and analyse data from both primary and secondary sources.

Able to thoroughly analyse data and prepare summary of analyses for reporting.

Take field mission reports and Participate in report writing for

end client.

Facilitation and organizations

Take lead role in organizing events-training, missions.

Backstop team in delivering training.
Organize business platforms which the company is involved at.

Organize training materials and participant in development as and when needed.

Business Acquisition]

Scan business opportunities-request for proposals and provide information for consideration.

Support senior team members in developing proposals.

Participate in marketing of the consulting service.

Leadership and Management Competences

Excellent communication skills in Amharic and English.

Hands-on and pro-active approach.

Strong analytical and critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Ability to perform under stress with minimal supervision and able to handle multiple tasks at a time in calm and organized manner.

Technical Competencies

Mastery in in spoken and written English.

Outstanding in organizing, analysing and interpreting data

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages.

Job Requirements

Education, Work experience and Language

BA in Economics, Business Administration and related fields.

At least 2 years hands on experience preferably in PLC.

Proficiency in spoken and written English and Amharic languages is a must.
