Senior Logistics Officer Jobs in Uganda

The Senior Logistic Officer is primarily responsible for the efficient and effective running of logistics activities within War Child Holland Uganda. This entails management of assets and procurement as well as adherence to security guidelines.



Main Roles & Responsibilities


  • To ensure proper and timely purchase, registration and distribution of assets and stocks according to WCH and donor requirements.
  • To ensure transport, fleet and security processes are coordinated effectively and efficiently according to War Child Programmes.
  • To acquire and maintain preferred suppliers and ensure periodic review of relationships with supplier.
  • To ensure proper administration of procurement documents.


    Qualifications, Competencies & skills


  • Bachelors in Procurement and Logistics is preferred
  • At least 3 years of working experience with iNGO handling institutional donors is preferred.
  • Good computer skills in MS Excel & word
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Good communication skills, service oriented and a pro-active attitude
  • Logical thinking skills and a practical, hands-on mentality
  • Result focused and persistent to reach goals
  • Technical knowledge and (basic) technical
  • knowledge on cars. IT knowledge is preferred.
  • Efficient and conscious of time
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism
  • Accurate, consistent and transparent
  • Team player
