Job DescriptionGeneral Description of the Role:Segon-Marill Movers has partnered with a world-renowned company to bring records and archives management solution for the first time in Ethiopia.
The company provides archival storage, delivery, digitization and destruction services to private and non-governmental organizations in Ethiopia
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the sales and operations team.
Though the emphasis is on sales, creating opportunities and closing deals, the successful candidate is also expected to manage facilities, coordinate and supervise the efforts of the sales and operations teams, and liaise with our partners.
Key Duties:1. To source opportunities for the business.
2. Create awareness of the records and archives management business.
3. Conduct meetings with potential customers with a view to reinforcing our objectives for records and archives management to meet our company objectives.
4. Issue proposals based on the customer need.
5. Prepare sales reports and activity reports monthly or as requested.
6. To be familiar with the records management legislation;
7. To be familiar with all the records management standards.
8. To source premises and advice on storage facilities.
9.
Liaise with service providers to ensure a fully functional facility that conforms to the regulations. (Racking, security, fire suppression)
10. To understand, advise and implement relevant operational acts.
11. To be able to use the professional software (EAS) to monitor the progress of the missions
12. Ensure that records management policies, procedures and guidelines are up to date;
13. Evaluate team members against job-descriptions;
14. Do spot checks on work output;
15. Have regular staff meetings.
Job RequirementsEducation and Experience: (educational, experience, language, etc.)1. First degree in business-related disciplines, records and archives management, library science, or computing-related disciplines and a minimum of four years of experience in sales and marketing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude1. Proven knowledge of sales and marketing particularly of service sales and marketing
2. Experience in service sales and marketing
3. Acquaintance with records and archives management
4. Ability to manage own workload effectively and support team where necessary
5. Outgoing, articulate and positive personality
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Good Organizational & Interpersonal skills
8. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
9. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
10. Resilient team player who leads from the front and can adapt well to a fast-paced environment.
11. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases
