Security Officer – Head of Security Jobs in Kenya

Job Description

Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board (CPSB) is a body corporate established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act, 2012 pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Section 59 of the County Governments Act 2012 outlines the functions of the CPSB among them being “appoint persons to hold or act in offices of the County Public Service including in the Boards of cities and urban areas within the County and to confirm appointments”.

Requirements for appointment:

• Be a Kenyan citizen;

• Preferably have a Diploma or a Degree in Security or its equivalent from a recognized institution;

• Ex-military Officers with high level of documented expertise are highly preferred;

• Have Certificate of good conduct;

• Have an experience of at least 5 years.

Duties and responsibilities:

The Head of Security shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following:

• Providing Security Services in the area of deployment;

• Supervising Security Officers and or security firm(s) under his/her supervision;

• Training the Security Officers under his/her supervision;

• Providing regular reports on security matters;

• Liaising with the relevant security agencies for reinforcement when need arises;

• Any other duty that may be assigned by the

supervisor.
