Securing Scholarships for Study Abroad

I am really interested in studying abroad. Last year I applied for a chance in Egerton university here in Kenya, but again I was forced to halt my studies again because my parents were not in a position to cover for the joining fee which was (90,000 Kshs). My interest in studying is to take a course in economics at university level. Please help me to know what I can do to get a scholarship.
