Title: IT Support cum Digital Marketer – School

Location: Thindigua, Kiambu County

Salary: Competitive based in experience and qualifications

Our client is an established kindergarten based in Kiambu county. They are looking to recruit a School IT & Digital Marketing Technician to provide IT support to students, teaching and non-teaching staff so as to enable delivery of content in classrooms and maintain productivity of users of the internet, printer, tablets etc

Responsibilities:

Ensuring functionality of student and staff laptops and/or computers by carrying out regular preventive maintenance, basic repairs and necessary software configurations such as Microsoft Office, OS updates etc.

Troubleshooting classroom and office projectors, speakers & HDMI failures.

Advice and participate in the development of social content

Managing social media platforms and company website

Contributing ideas and design artwork for school fliers, event pamphlets etc.

Supporting teachers in managing students during heavy computer aided lessons.

Ensuring proper set-up of hardware and software necessary in running successful online testing sessions i.e. NWEA MAP tests.

Setting up for board meetings, school events and presentations

Managing and track IT/Tech assets assigned to the duty station.

Assist contracted service providers in troubleshooting offline cameras and switches.

Receiving technicians from contracted service providers assigned to carry out maintenance or repair tasks.

Attending meetings on regular basis to identify IT related issues raised and communicate the

same to supervisor for logging/action.

Performing any other related duties as assigned by the IT manager.

Skills and Qualifications:

You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a school-based environment or fast-paced office setting.

Diploma in an ICT related course.

Experience in Social Media/web Administration desired

Must possess a thorough knowledge of computers and their inner working.

Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, teachers, and students.

Must demonstrate some understanding of basic printer, projector and computer hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.
