A private primary education provider that exists to nurture globally competitive students through unique programs and valuable experiences, is recruiting a Head Teacher to join their school.
Job Summary:
Detail-oriented with sight of the bigger picture. Has the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities and is committed to high-quality education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Help shape and uphold the vision of the school
Implement actions that improve the school and the quality of education (e.g. building renovations, new guidelines for students, new subjects)
Have a hand in the creation of the school curriculum
Understand and review the way the school and all its departments function.
Prepare and submit drafts of proposals, financial reports, and other documents.
Manage budgets, logistics, resources and events or meetings
Conduct research on professional and ongoing learning workshops and share these opportunities with teachers and other staff.
Attend meetings and schedule appropriate staff team building sessions.
Keep track of student successes and failures and prepare appropriate interventions.
Manage school security, caretakers, and other ground staff.
Assist with hiring, recruitment, training, and onboarding of new teachers.
Establish and maintain good relationships with parents, students, and staff at other schools.
Handle scheduling, record-keeping and
reporting
Ensure the school complies with relevant laws and regulations
Develop and run educational programs
Resolve conflicts and other issues
Communicate with parents, regulatory bodies and the public
Key Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Relevant license and certification.
Proven experience as a School Administrator.
Excellent leadership, organizational, management, and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to remain professional.
Experience as an educator is a plus.
Knowledge of administrative processes of schools.
Ability to use computers (e.g. MS Office) and education management systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Outstanding organizational ability.
Attention to detail.
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Good judgment and decision-making aptitude.
