Scholarships for Orphans

I was wondering if there are grants and scholarships for people whose parents have recently pasted away?

Specifically there are numerous scholarships for those in great need and that includes orphaned students who wish to continue with education. For most organizations/institutions consideration is mainly given to orphans and those who have no one to stand up for them!
