At its core, climate change is an issue of equity, both within the current generation and across generations.

Climate change affects children and communities in poor and vulnerable communities now, and its impact will only grow over time – further affecting today's children and irrevocably altering the world future generations will inherit.

Climate change is also one of the principal development challenges of the twenty-first century. Its impacts will be felt globally, ensuring that no one will be immune to its effects.

You will drive an ambitious strategy for scaling up child-centred community-based climate change adaptation programs across Africa, demonstrating that children not only have a voice in the future they will inherent but that they have the capacity to contribute to shaping a world where those most impacted are able to adapt and thrive in the face of unavoidable climate change.
