Job DescriptionChild Safeguarding:Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
Role Purpose: Consortium Meal Coordinator
Scope of RoleReports to: Senior Program manger
Key accountabilitySave the children is seeking very high caliber MEAL coordinator who will be responsible all the MEAL aspects of the regional development and protection program.
The Consortium MEAL coordinator will work with senior program manager for all, monitoring and evaluation aspects of RDPP program in Awbare and Kabribayah, he/she will be mainly responsible the day to day MEAL activities for all the consortium agencies including visibility and communication activities.
Program Implementation, Monitoring and evaluation As part of the assignment the MEAl coordinator will be specifically focused all MEAL related activities he/she will be responsible of regular data collection, reporting on Monthly, Quarterly and Annually bases
On monthly Bases will truck progress of activities against the Detail implementation plan
Periodically truck indicator progress against the plan, and ensure indicators are achieved as per the plan
Take the lead of the quarterly review meetings, supervision and monitoring and work with project coordinator.
Carry our periodic review of all the MEAL tools
Develop an M&E Strategy for RDPP program, including standard reporting tools, reporting timelines and modes of engagement for different points in program implementation
Review and revise M&E reports providing feedback and quality assurance on data analysis and writing before sharing to external parties. This includes supporting Programme teams in the writing of donor reports
Act as focal point and work cooperatively for the planning and implementation of M&E activities throughout the Programme cycle (baseline and end line, evaluation) RDPP partners and consortium members.
Research/develop appropriate market analysis tools and capacity and ensure that information is shared, analyzed and acted on in a timely manner.
Document, advise and implement learning on M&E tools and strategy is incorporated into Programme design.
Strengthen links with M&E departments in other NGOs through effective and on-going coordination, information-sharing and results dissemination at regional level and national level.
Programme evaluation
Take the lead the evaluation of the Programme.
Document case studies and lesson learnt and best practices.
Involve preparation and submission of final report.
Accountability
Ensure appropriate accountability mechanisms are put in place and functional, ensure targeting errors are duly corrected including implementation of Complaint Response Mechanism Policy.
Advise on the establishment and maintenance of proper feedback mechanisms in line with accountability standards, including refining digital feedback mechanisms for beneficiaries.
Support programming and field staff to ensure that projects are designed and carried out with
participation from all affected communities and that information is shared with affected communities.
Ensure that staff and partner staff at all levels fully understand and promote accountability to beneficiaries through training and coaching
Learning
Ensure that all assessment/evaluation reports meet save the children criteria, and promote the integration of recommendations and lessons learnt in project planning and future programming.
Advise and support MEAL team implementation of Programme assessment, surveys and evaluations.
Ensure learning reviews are conducted and documented for all projects, appropriate to length, scale and complexity.
Information Management
In conjunction with Programme teams, design remote management data collection tools including use of Digital Data Gathering tools
Contribute to donor reports on project deliverable
Improve the storage and dissemination of information within the Programme.
Advise on appropriate data collection technologies, including database storage and management

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification and Experience
B.A/B.Sc. Degree in statistics, Economics, development studies, social policy or a related field.
4 years of relevant experience in M&E of humanitarian and development programs and strong understanding of M&E principles and processes, including database management, reporting etc.
Demonstrable experience in the nurturing of organizational learning in programs.
Strong facilitation and training skills with diverse audiences of NGO practitioners.
A strong understanding of the management of knowledge within NGOs or development organizations and an ability to link this to system development
Ability to work effectively with and contribute to multidisciplinary teams and provide team leadership as required.
Strong understanding of research methodologies and the nature of evidence which will influence key decision makers in the area.
Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of inequality, rights related to development and emergency contexts, gender inequality, analysis and prevention and response to Gender Based Violence.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word
