Role Purpose:
Holder of this position is responsible to technically support the effective implementation of the 0-3 Early Childhood Care and Development program with the special focus on parental education on early stimulation, supports the integration and coordination among sponsorship core programs, strategically lead community-based parenting session on early stimulation, supports partnership and networking with key partners and stakeholders, ensures that core program components are effectively utilized based on the Detail Implementation Plan(DIP), supports periodic program monitoring and evaluation, longitudinal study on CREDI, produces, shares and documents required program reports.
Reports to: Education Program Coordinator-Sponsorship
key Areas of Accountability Participates in annual Detail Implementation Plan(DIP) development for activities identified for 0-3ECD program
Coordinates effective implementation of parenting education(session) on early stimulation for 0-3 ECD program,
Identifies and engages key stakeholders and partners at different levels in the effective implementation of the 0-3 ECD program in the impact area.
In collaboration with key partners, regularly facilitates community-based parenting education on early stimulation.
Identifies doable platforms and maximizes efforts to mainstream the 0-3 ECD program implementation in to the platforms.
Adapts,
contextualizes and organizes 0-3 ECD CASP modules, implementation strategies and training toolkits in accordance of the identified platforms and the impact area context.
Ensures that program budget is running per the DIP and identified activities are timely implemented.
Follows up with quality program implementation in collaboration with other program staff and MEAL Staff
Provides technical support during program evaluation, baseline and end line assessment and longitudinal study on CREDI
Actively engages in annual program review meetings, conferences, forums and advocacy contacts.
Frequently conducts visit arrangements to schools, community-based program implementation areas and centres.
Support the adaptation, testing and implementation innovative approaches and strategies with in ECCD program and also in sponsorship program.
Support sponsor visits and experience and knowledge sharing arrangements to be held in the impact are at different times.
Maintain strong networks, collaborations, partnerships with sponsorship program and operation staff, government offices, other local and INGO in the impact area for effective implementation of 0-3 ECD program.
Actively engages in community mobilization activities so as to increase communities sense of ownership and participation in the program and to ensure program sustainability.
Compiles and documents success stories and case studies from the program he/she supports.
Develops and shares periodic field reports, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as per the organization’s requirement.
Performs other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor
Job Requirements
Essential
BA degree in Education, Psychology and Social Work, Sociology and related fields.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience and of which at least 1-year relevant Experience in NGOs preferably related to ECCD program,
