Role Summary

The job holder will be answerable to the Manager Human Capital and Administration for the performance of his/her duties. The successful candidate is expected to ensure the Authority’s records are managed in accordance with Public Archives and Documentation Service Act Cap 19, of 1965 (revised 2016) of the laws of Kenya, rules, regulations and circulars issued from time to time to improve records management in the public service.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring that letters are appropriately filed and marked to action officers.

Controlling and opening of files.

Updating file index.

Ensuring Security of information/files in the registry.

Updating and maintaining up-to-date file movement of records.

Ascertaining the general cleanliness of the registry; and

Guiding and supervise staff working under him/her.

Job Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an applicant must have:

Have a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience.

Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Information Science Management, Records Management or any of the Social Sciences plus a

Certificate in Records Management/Information Management or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.

Certificate in a supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks.

Be proficient in computer applications.
