The National Petroleum Refiners of South Africa (Pty) Ltd (Natref) is a processing refinery owned by Sasol (Pty) Ltd (63,64%) and Total South Africa (36,36%).
Natref is South Africa’s only inland crude oil refinery.
This deep conversion refinery is designed to upgrade heavy, sour crude oil (oil with a high sulphur content) and yields about 89% white petroleum products.
Purpose of the Job
The purpose of the role is to enable plant stability through optimization of planning processes and provide support to operations through effective planning to ensure productive utilization of systems and processes.
Execute the principles of effective and efficient planning by fully utilizing all the planning tools and resources. Report on own performance and identify areas for improvement in the complete process.
Functional Outputs
Successful execution of shutdowns, general overhauls (GO), turnarounds (TA), projects and complex jobs.
Managing work management for different resources according to work management process.
Execute ad hoc projects assigned by line manaement.
Evaluate and verify correctness of notifications and take action on deviations - (gate keeping function).
Support in supervisory capacity (if required) during shutdowns.
Contribute in shutdown program validation.
Planning and control of statutory work - ensure statutory process complience.
Have influence to reduce maintenance costs, optimise and reduce equipment down time.
Resource utilisation and effeiency Provide Bar/ Gantt chart programs for projects and complex jobs.
Ensure work package readiness for execution by arranging permits and getting confirmation of availability of equipment material/spares, services and resources.
Job Requirements
Qualification
Engineering National Diploma or
Grade 12 Maths, Science and English or equivalent ( full N3, with
English), and
Relevant (Engineering/Process) Occupational Trade certificate NQF4
Experience
4 years field experience as an Artisan or Technician
SAP PM module Experience (must
Experience of Shutdown Planning activities
Experienced in Plant Maintenance Planning (must)
Multi discipline maintenance planning experience (Operations/Mechanical/Welding/Electrical/Instruments) (must)
<MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
General meeting facilitation
Practice sound Work Management
Understanding the concepts of Asset Management
