Job Description

Samaritan’s Purse’s (SP) food assistance programs, funded by the World Food Programme (WFP), distributes monthly rations to all households and individuals in three woredas in North-Western Zone and Mekelle town of Tigray.

In direct support of the GFD Food Program Manager the Data Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for creating a beneficiary registration database and overseeing the data entry of Data Registration Assistants of household information on to the database and generating overall reports on the General Food Distribution Samaritan's Purse conducts in Mekelle town.

Job Requirements

Develop a beneficiary registration database of all households’ information collected at the distribution site according to Samaritan’s Purse and WFP’s key indicators

Analyze the database for households’ registered twice and inform the GFD Coordinator of the woreda for their attention

Ensure that the Data Registration Assistants are entering the household information according to the agreed format

Anticipate problems and troubleshoot solutions to ensure the analysis is comprehensive

Submit analysis reports to GFD Program Manager according to the agreed schedule in collaboration with the Program Manager

Liaise with WFP Data Programme Officers to ensure the database is meeting WFP’s data registration needs

Assist on administrative works and attend meetings representing Samaritan's Purse.

Performing all other tasks and responsibilities as requested by the GFD Program Manager with a generous and serving spirit

Education / Experience Needed

Degree from university preferred in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology. Minimum two years work experience with NGO’s or United Nations.

Language

• Fluency in Amharic and Tigriyan is required; working knowledge of English required.
