Salama Fikira Head of Investigations Job in Kenya

Job Purpose: HoI is responsible for seeking out, sourcing and procuring business, managing operations & projects across Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. The HoI will be responsible for this division and will work closely with the Operations Manager and BD Team.
He will also be responsible for managing all existing investigation business and contracts.
They will work out of Salama Fikira’s Nairobi office.
Responsibilities:
The HOl responsibilities include
Leading their division and its personnel
Responsibility for the division’s financial performance
Manage and interface with existing client base
Ensuring dose liaison with the Salama Fikira Operations Manager and Investigations Staff
Identify markets and business opportunities for security consulting projects on the African continent In all fields
Develop and run a marketing plan for securing Identified opportunities/contracts
Prepare proposals for potential clients
Prepare contracts for future clients
Plan and, in conjunction with the Salama Fikira Operations Department, monitor all land based investigations as directed
Work with the accounts department to check and approve invoices
Work with the accounts department to assist with debtor management as required
Responsible for managing the Investigations Department and ensuring that they have the capacity and ability to train, supervise and develop the members of
their team
Identification of equipment requirements for projects
Working with logistics department to identify suppliers and manage procured equipment
In conjunction with Info/Analysts develop and maintain an understanding of the relevant current, and historical, events and issues in all potential client
countries
Have a general understanding of all security services and protocols and ensure good communication and relationships with law enforcement and any other
relevant boards of authority and ensure that the Company is continually updated with any changes
Embrace, understand and produce the financial forecasting
and plan for existing and future projects
Ensure relevant licensing and correct protocols are followed by the department and Company as a whole and advise the company directors as required
To support the Senior Leadership Team and where applicable the company directors as required
Ensure Divisional compliance with the company’s Quality Management System, Health and Safety Management System and Environmental Management System.
Minimum Requirement
Must have international policing or law enforcement experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the private security industry
Exposure to and experience in the corporate sector
Logistics Experience
Experience living and working in Africa; experience in East Africa would be an advantage
Understand African cultures and continental business challenges
Excellent command of English language in both written and verbal mediums
Must have demonstrable leadership and management skills in order to ensure their division operates as a team
Proven financial and commercial understanding and skills
Good Computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word. PowerPoint and Excel) is essential
Understand the company’s risk consultancy services and the African risk management and security sector
The job involves international travel and requires a person with mental alacrity a flexible approach to work They will be expected to work with clients in sensitive environments often at unusual hours of the day given the spread of our activities and client locations
Be able to respond to short notice requirements and provide urgent attention to tasks
Have an awareness of external influences, such as legislation within legal, national and HSSE frameworks
University Degree or equivalent
Possess a driving licence valid for use in Kenya
Be of sound physical and mental health
