Safer Roads for Africa Driver Trainers Jobs in Uganda


The Deutsche Gesellschaft ftir Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is working in partnership with Safe Way Right Way (SWRW) and Transaid to support heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and passenger service vehicle (PSV) driver training in Uganda in anticipation of an increased demand for professional drivers in the oil and gas sector and the wider transport and logistics industry in Uganda.

SWRW is recruiting for the following positions to support the project:

Trainee HGV/PSV Driver Trainers —

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Certificate in Education or higher.
  • Five years driving experience of large commercial vehicles: Class CM, CH, DM and DH. No training females candidates are experience required but desirable.
  • Qualified encouraged to apply.

    Key Competences

  • Fluent English, both written and oral
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Ability to teach and motivate others
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Minimum 3 years free from blameworthy accidents
