Safaricom Product Manager - Technology for Development Jobs in Kenya

We are pleased to announce the following career opportunity for Product Manager – Technology for Development within Corporate Responsibility Department.

Reporting to Senior Manager-Technology for Development, the role holder will perform needs analysis on social issues and market segments while developing winning products and propositions that deliver on the objectives of digital inclusion agenda.

Responsibilities;

Strategy and Innovation

Support the Implementation of innovative solutions in line with the roadmap for the Social Innovation products portfolio.

Undertake needs analysis to inform and update strategy and roadmap

Create and manage winning partnerships with key external stakeholders in external forums and internal meetings

Liaise between internal stakeholders to ensure smoothly back end delivery of products and services [Technology Customer Management, Risk, Marketing, Regulatory, Consumer

Product Development

Liaise with the Technology partners and other product development partner to ensure appropriate and timely briefing and information to ensure back end product development proceeds as scheduled with clear test phase timelines and success indicators

Monitor and collate all product related statistics to enable monthly reviews of current products performance to identify requirements for enhancements, retirement or replacement.

Create and manage winning partnerships with key delivery/product stakeholders including Technology and service vendors, commercial partners and internal support teams to deliver products seamlessly

Project Management

Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and Quarterly reports for all products and services in the portfolio

Prepare

documentation of all products [Gate presentations, Gate documentations, Briefing for NDAs and Contracts.

Manage internal Sign-offs

Collaborate with the Senior Manager and internal stakeholders on the project management process including conceptualization, scoping, development, business planning, testing, marketing, launch and post-launch of products and services in the portfolio ensuring that products are able to deliver social impact sustainably.

Develop briefs for the launch of new products and services for the marketing and events team and ensure successful go-to-market and deployment for each product

Ensure all launched products are properly documented and approved as defined by the products gate process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Project Management (preferably one with Marketing modules)

5-7 years hands on working experience.

Highly organized, conscientious and detail oriented.

Excellent Interpersonal and Leadership Skills.

Good decision making skills.
