Safaricom Engineer-Financial Services Support Job Vacancies in Kenya

Detailed Description

EnsureData and/or Application Availability of the assigned systems and applications;

Participate in Testing and Implementation of new products, services, functionalities orup grades;

Provide secondary and tertiary support for all Revenue Systems and MPESA and their interfaces;

Perform Systems and Applications Monitoring;

Ensure Documentation and Policy implementation;

Participate and provide input to the M-PESA road map to ensure timely delivery of relevant products to Safaricom Customers;

Work with the external and internal technical teams to ensure efficient resolution of all system issues;

Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure new functionality, processes and systems are fully understood;

Provide Risk Management for all MPESA Operational requests as per the IS Audit;

Transfer system knowledge to internal Customers on new features and support processes;

Provide weekly system performance reports to Safaricom management.

Job Requirements

University Degree in Computer Science or IT Related field;

Programming skills in any 4GL or a functional programming language e.g. SQL;

Oracle DBA training is highly recommended;

Proficiency in UNIX/Linux would bean added advantage;

3-4 years of work experience in a client server environment;

2 years DBA and/or Application Support experience;

Highly developed analytical thinking skills;

Ability to manage customers and fellow team members;

Team player;

Brief Description

Reporting to the Manager – Regional Operations and Sales Support, the position holder will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of Regional Sales & Operations workforce development & planning strategies that delivers continuous improvement through staff optimization, culture change, workforce development and employee wellness.

Detailed Description

Responsible for the day to day delivery workforce planning and information services

Provide expertise and

support as required to Regional Operations, HR team and Regional Sales & Operations staff through data analysis

Liaise with HR to establish a link between the workforce plans and recruitment activity including selecting, orientation, and training.

Coordinate Regional Administration to ensure smooth operations and high quality workforce management.

Coordinate outsourced agencies and follow through on documentation, on-boarding, training, performance management, leave, wellness and remuneration as per contract.

Accountable for employee motivation, development and wellness.

Drive the departmental Internal communication strategy

Drive company NPS

Job Requirements

Degree in business discipline or Social Sciences.

Expert Level in Statistical Analysis tools

Proven experience in HR and Labour Related issues.

Proactive, confident, energetic and able to work under pressure with a positive attitude and use good organization skills.

Mentoring/coaching skills/experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Management and Leadership skills

Problem solving and decision-making skills.
