Safari Park Hotel wishes to employ suitable Kenyan citizens with the right attributes to fill the position below;

Outside Business Manager

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Outside Business Food & Beverage outlets of the hotel.

These include Café Safari at the KICC, Koreana Chicken at Garden City, Mango plus at the JKIA Airport, and the UN Staff Cafeteria.

Key responsibilities for the position include;

Planning, organizing and coordinating the resources and workforce of the Outside Business Outlets for the efficient and profitable service of food and beverage.

Achievement of Outside Business Outlets operational objectives, implementing productivity, quality and customer service standards, resolving problems; determining system improvements and implementing change in the respective outlets.

Meeting Outside Business Outlets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.

Co-ordinating new menus in consultation with outlet chefs.

Maintaining a safe, secure and healthy environment by establishing, following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations and maintaining a comfortable and secure environment at the restaurant.

To explore new areas of expansion of the outside business with proposed systems and business proposals that will be within time lines and realistic.

To provide comprehensive training to all exsisting and new staff to have new expertise to perform in a coordinated and proffessional manner.

Develop best control systems for the outside business for cost control and all related issues.

The position is challenging and calls for a dynamic, confident,

aggressive and forward thinking person with the following attributes;

Holder of an advanced certificate, diploma or degree in Hotel Management from Kenya Utalii College or any other internationally recognised hotel training institution.

At least five years experience in a similar position, in a reputable hotel establishment.

International exposure is an added advantage.

Ability to create good rapport with the guests and to be extremely courteous and friendly at all times.

Ability to work without supervision and achieve goals beyond the minimum set standards for the hotel.

Ability to set the highest personal standards of work performance.

Excellent oral communication skills.

Must be Computer literate with knowledge of the latest version of Fidelio hotel management system.
