Rural Electrification Agency Project Accountant - Jobs in Uganda

The Government of Uganda represented by the Rural Electrification Agency has allocated funds for the implementation of the project for bridging the gap between demand and supply through the accelerated rural electrification program.

Through this project, all unserved Sub-county headquarters and any local government administrative structure above the Sub-county will be connected to the national electricity grid.

This will go a long way in growing electricity consumption in readiness for the increased national generation capacity.
The three-year project is to be implemented concurrently in four regions of the country, with each region operating independently through respective regional administrative units.

The accountant shall report to the Manager Finance but work closely with the Project Management Unit under the stewardship of the Project Development and Management Department.

The project accountant shall be responsible for the overall financial management of the project. The accountant shall prepare disbursement schedules and monitor project execution within budget.
