Royal Media Services Limited wishes to recruit competent individuals to the position of Maintenance Technician to help meet the growing demands of the organization.

Key roles & responsibilities

Handle and maintain innovative broadcast equipment to guarantee optimal performance during live TV broadcasts & streams.

Ensure seamless television and radio program transmission.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement upgrades that enhance overall broadcast & streaming capabilities.

Collaborate with the production team to implement and address advanced broadcast systems, including cameras, virtual reality systems, audio equipment, and video editing tools.

Collaborate with external vendors and technical partners to explore and implement new technologies that align with the station’s needs

Stay on top of relevant broadcast standards and regulations to ensure compliance and uphold the highest quality standards.

Train and support production staff in the use of new technologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusiveness.

Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate systems with network infrastructure and ensure secure and efficient data flow.

Will undertake and assist in broadcast equipment installations for television, radio transmitters, microwave links and satellite

systems at any company site spread across the country.

Ensure power conditioners (AVR) and Uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) are operative and serviced.

Ensure power backup systems (standby power generator) are operative and serviced

Academic, professional Experience and person specification

Minimum degree in Telecommunication Engineering or its’ equivalent. A Masters will be a distinctive advantage.

Minimum five years’ hand on working experience in television, radio and satellite transmission equipment.

Knowledge in a wide range of broadcasting or IT equipment and systems

Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.

High level of personal integrity and reliability.
