Bancassurance Job Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesContribute to the formulation of and review of department’s business plan and budget
Assist in developing objectives and strategies of achieving targets in area of focus
Develop and maintain productive relationship with clients through well planned regular visits and review of business incentives to motivate performance
Conduct market research and provide customer feedback to the organisation for development and customisation of new and existing products to suit various market segments
Drive growth in Banc assurance business
Market our products to prospective clients, and advice customers on the adequacy of cover requested for in relation to the policies available.
Provide prompt information and technical advise to clients
Adhere to regulatory/ compliance and internal procedures in regard to banc assurance business.
Organizing networking functions for intermediaries one is responsible for to improve intercompany and personal working relationships that boosts targeted production
Mentoring, coaching and giving guide line staff.
Follow up on renewal policies from assigned accounts
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes for the Bancassurance Job
University Degree or Diploma, preferably in a business field from a recognized University with at least two years working experience in bancassurance/insurance industry.
Professional qualification in insurance or good progress in ACII or DIP.
5 Years insurance marketing and/or underwriting experience.
Exposure to Insurance products in the bank set-up with knowledge of the Bank’s set standards, policies and the operating manual.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a diversified set up and in a highly collaborative team environment.
Proven ability to respond quickly, independently and appropriately to competing priorities under tight deadlines
Personal organization and thoroughness coupled with the ability to work under minimum supervision with good Judgment and decision making skills.
Knowledgeable in compiling data and preparing a variety of reports as well as ability to verify the accuracy of documents

In order to continue with local growth, our client seeks to hire an Underwriting Manager.
Underwriting Manager Job Key Roles and Responsibilities
General supervision of underwriting and customer service staff
Preparation of regular management reports on production and other relevant reports.
Ensure that all documentation in the underwriting department i.e policy documents, endorsements, renewal notices etc are correctly issued and dispatched to the intermediaries/insured/policyholders as applicable.
To oversee the overall administration of timely issuance of policy documents, renewal confirmations and endorsements.
Facilitate continuous underwriting staff training to create capacity
Develop an underwriting manual and update it as and when need be.
Reviewing sales audit reports from Senior Vetting officer and taking remedial actions where necessary.
Management of motor certificates by ensuring proper records are maintained.
Recommending to management effective underwriting systems and procedures for proposals and policies, drafting policies and endorsements and renewals.
Work closely with risk manager to establish procedures for surveys, initiating risk management programmes and compliance with recommendations on risk improvement.
Ensure that new risks accepted and/or renewed with the company are vetted to meet the basic quality standards.
Prepare the table of minimum rates as required by the commissioner of insurance and ensure it is lodged with the office Ensure that AKI circulars and communications from the commissioner’s
office relating to underwriting functions are well attended to and responded to on time.
Risk profiling on suspect claims to establish under writing gaps
Generic Duties
Developing among staff loyalty to the company personal integrity and adequate professional standards and a sense of satisfaction in the performance of their work.
Ensure that vehicles insured by the company are subjected to the pre insurance valuations and those values /defects and /or any findings are communicated to policyholders /intermediaries on time.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes for the Underwriting Manager Job
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferably in finance, accounting, actuarial science, insurance
Professional qualifications – Good progress in ACII or AIIK
At least 6 years as an underwriter in a busy working environment or related field
Attentive to details with Good analytical skills
Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer care skills

General Manager Job Key Roles and Responsibilities
Initiate and maintain collaborative strategic relationships with key stakeholders – Regulatory bodies, organisations, etc
Coordinate/ Manage and / or lead meetings with strategic stakeholders and encourage collaborative partnerships, by steering proactive communications and exchanging information to share good practice.
Develop and implement guidance on stakeholder liaison activities; monitor progress and outcomes; identify innovative communications solutions and co-ordinate information gathering and dissemination across various project teams.
Develop positive links with relevant stakeholder group, strategic agencies, third sector partners and other groups as appropriate to ensure the transmission of information is coordinated, appropriate stakeholders are fully briefed and activities are supported by those partners wherever possible.
Draft policies and procedures and action plans for stakeholder engagement activities; ensure these are implemented; evaluate and develop practices to improve outcomes on building strong partnerships.
Develop and implement creative, effective and fully coordinated communication strategies for both internal and external stakeholders using appropriate channels of communication and content specifically tailored to the needs of different groups.
Organise events that publicise positive activities involving projects and maintain an ongoing communications plan and record, which highlights all communications activity undertaken or planned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations
Should have at least a minimum of 8 years’ work experience (of which at least 5 years’ experience in high-level multi-stakeholder interaction within the public sector)
Dynamic manager that can deliver under pressure
A thorough understanding of Government policies and systems
Excellent analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills
