Job Description

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include; prepare monthly reports on received,
consumed and remaining drugs to help track monthly consumption to help in the projection for the
coming year's consumption and budget plan; forecast and quantify health commodities to aid in
effective running of the clinic and allow for proper budgeting and allocation of funds; initiate the quarterly procurement process to ensure that there are no stock-outs; inspect and receive health supplies to avoid procurement of poor quality drugs with short shelf-lives; ensure proper storage of drugs and non-pharmaceuticals; keep daily inventory of medical supplies to ensure no stock- outs and longer shelf-lives; analyze prescriptions daily and advise the prescriber to ensure issuing of correct medication and dispense drugs to patients as per the requested prescription.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade one must have:-

Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent from recognized medical training institution or any other recognized training institution

At least three (3) years post qualification work experience.

Valid registration certificate from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board

Computer literacy
