An exciting opportunity has arisen in Taif, Saudi Arabia to join our Defence deployed operations teams as HS&E Advisor KSA & ME.
As HS&E Advisor KSA & ME you will be based at the Royal Saudi Air Force Base in Taif and playing a significant role in leading HSE activities in support of the Business priorities and based on a sound understanding of the local and regional HS&E performance and risk profile.
This is a very hand’s on role and you will be the principal HS&E point of contact for supporting and coaching managers in effective HS&E leadership and implementation.
You will deliver on agreed improvement plans and be proactive in seeking out emerging issues, identify and promote good practice and work collaboratively with Business HS&E and the wider HS&E function, to build a sense of team, and alignment to Business and functional strategies.

Key Account-abilities:
Maintain good risk management, including up to date local and regional risk profiles, to keep management informed and drive prioritised improvement actions across multiple locations within the region.
Ensure HS&E critical controls are identified, managed including through appropriate maintenance programmes and effectively assured.
Set expectations and lead by example on
the Journey to Zero Harm.
Deliver and monitor effective HS&E governance (structure, process and content) locally and regionally, including the HS&E Accountability Framework, in partnership with management.
Develop and deliver effective local and regional emergency responses and practice events.
Respond to incidents, maintain communications on the situation and coach managers to undertake and complete investigations.
Identify report and validate the required data through the HS&E MIS.
Lead the timely identification of local and regional HS&E priorities and prepare supporting business cases as needed.
Develop the local risk-based assurance programme, consistent with the Business programme, including on compliance with legal and other requirements.
Qualifications:
Typically an HS&E specific college degree and/or professional certifications.
Typically 5 or more years of experience in HS&E.
Demonstrated experience in influencing managers and taking a stand when the situation demands it.
Have previous experience and sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and practice in Saudi Arabia and Middle East region.
Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching and report writing skills.
Chartered NEBOSH qualified is highly preferred.
