Right University Wrong Course

Hi I am student at a good local university (Kenya) my problem is even though I had qualified for the course of my choice grade wise (with a mean grade B+) so had many other people, so in the end it was a matter of numbers and not qualification. I was admitted for a totally different course (subsidised) which am currently studying for lack of a choice.

My question is are there scholarships available for one to shift to the course of their choice within the same university or one in the same country where they will be more productive.I wish to study Economics and development studies.(it will cost me more than 5 times what I pay annually).
