Purpose of the JobBased on the general guidelines & procedures of the Company, plan & coordinate the activities of the department, consolidate functional budgets and prepare annual and strategic plan of the Company, ensure the maintenance of proper and adequate accounting records, prepare financial statements, analyze the accounts and ensure the proper maintenance of financial documents.
Key Responsibilities
Ascertain that all sales are invoiced & properly accounted for and check the credit worthiness of customers
Ascertain that all disbursements are properly authorized and accounted for
Ensure that all acquisition costs are considered & properly accounted for to determine cost of local & imported inputs.
Ensure that all materials, labor and overhead cost are included and properly accounted for in the determination of product costs.
Ensure that all statutory deductions and liabilities are properly accounted for and paid to the concerned body.
Insure that timely financial statements & reports are produced to meet the requirements of management and stack holders.
Coordinate the preparation of the strategic and annual plan of the Brewery, consolidate functional budgets and follow up its implementation.
Ensure that all collections from sales and other sources are properly accounted for
and deposited intact & timely.
Ensure that all accounts are audited & are provided to external auditors.
Ensure that all financial documents are properly maintained and are accessible to authorized personnel only.
Ascertain that all properties of the company re properly recorded and get the appropriate insurance coverage.
Job Requirements
Qualification & Skills Required
MBA+ACCA in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent with at least 8 years relevant work experience in finance.
8+ years of experience with developing complex budgets
8+ years of project control experience such as financial analysis, finance, accounting, pricing, or contracts.
Must have strong financial and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Microsoft Office Suite, Sage 50 Accounting, formerly known as Peachtree.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Amharic, and ability to work across all part of the organization.
Demonstrated experience in identifying areas of risk, building cost assumptions, and forecasting financial performance.
Knowledge of business practices as they relate to the financial system(s)
